FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The ninth-ranked Texas Men’s Track and Field team tied its highest ever team finish as the Longhorns placed third with 34 points at the 2008 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Randal Tyson Track Center. Senior Leo Manzano (Marble Falls, Texas) successfully defended his mile run title and made UT history as the first Longhorn to win two NCAA titles at the same meet. Teammate Jake Morse (Arlington, Texas) finished second in the same event as UT scored 18 of its 34 points on the final day of the meet. Arizona State scored 44 points in capturing the 2008 NCAA Indoor crown ahead of second-year runner-up Florida State (43 points).
